Another month has almost passed me by! As usual, I'm busy in the studio creating new pieces. It is exciting for me to share my new work with you.
This month I had the opportunity to engage in the SNAG (Society of North American Goldsmiths) Conference which was held in Toronto this year. I met some incredible designers and left feeling inspired and a bit overwhelmed. It nice to be surrounded by others of my "kind" since we, as jewellers, metalsmiths, craftspeople, teachers, really do get stuck in our studios the majority of the time.

(left) I was able to reconnect with the lovely Sylvia! She teaches Gemmology at George Brown College. I had the wonderful opportunity of being her student several years ago. Such an inspiring woman!
(Above right) At the Harbourfront Centre Exhibition. I have an obsession with pierced metal. I was in heaven standing within a tunnel which was intricately designed and cast the most beautiful shadows.

Repurposed Project for Ms.J
1. Design Concept
2. Client's original Jewellery
3. Final product
In this particular piece I was able to use her yellow gold, melt it down and create two outside bands for her ring. The central band on the final product is 14k white gold. The design is constructed of an actual twig which I made a mold of. I then used new 14k white gold settings for her beautiful diamonds to be placed.
This ring looks stunning on Ms. J
Thank you for reading,
